Feminity in difficult times

Most breast alterations during the fertile years are benign and are the consequence of the cyclical alterations of female sex steroids. Not every new lump that you can detect in your breasts is therefore malignant. On the contrary. You should, however, see your gynecologist if you experience one or more of the following symptoms:

·          newly palpated dense or irregular breast lump

·          alterations in size, form or movability of one or both breasts

·          signs and symptoms of a breast infection without apparent cause

·          occurrence of dents and »peau d´orange«

·          Alterations of the breast nipple, especially if skin appears flaky

·          Secretion from one or both breast nipples in women who do not lactate

·          Bumps in the axillary region and in the area above or below the clavicle
